A portal can act as a gate, or a porch for those resting a while. A landing pad for the ones searching for a home, or a place tucked away, accumulating memories of all things we held dear. Through Augmented Reality, “Portals, Not Homes" asks: Can we go back to something that embodies past versions of ourselves? In this workshop, participants are invited to collectively engage with questions of memory through a facilitated group sharing session.
Participants are invited to explore questions of home, displacement, and consumership through facilitated conversations and AR prompts (attendees may use smartphones or share tablets).
