Beyond the First Decade: Celebrating ten years of Libre Graphics and Launching 'Conversations'

Join Libre Graphics at InterAccess on Thursday, April 30 at 7pm to celebrate ten years of open source collaboration.

For one evening, we're playing the archive from ten years of active collaboration in the Libre Graphics world. Comprised of software, its communities, and the practices and products that have arisen from those communities, the Libre Graphics community has been doing Free/Libre and Open Source work together for a decade. Join us to celebrate ten years of Libre Graphics, and to launch a new book titled, I think that conversations are the best, biggest thing that free software has to offer its user (or Conversations, for short), which looks back at the people behind ten years of Libre Graphics.

About I think that conversations are the best, biggest thing that free software has to offer its user

An extensive collection of conversations between developers and designers involved in the wider ecosystem of Libre Graphics. Speaking to each other about tools for typography, lay-out and image processing they render a portrait of a community gradually understanding the interdependencies between Free Software and design. Conversations is edited by Femke Snelting in collaboration with Christoph Haag.

The collection is edited collaboratively online as functional markup and prepared for print via a f/l/os pipeline
