InterAccess is honoured to be featured in the Toronto Arts Foundation's annual fundraising event! InterAccess artists Tara Rose Morris, Pegah Peivandi, and Dan Tapper, curated by Evangeline Y Brooks, will perform live visuals alongside DJ Berma.
Brought to you by Toronto Arts Foundation, the In Bloom Gala marks the debut party of the Foundation’s annual public fundraiser, The Mayor’s Evening for the Arts. Every ticket sold fuels the city's arts community, supporting artists and delivering free creative experiences across Toronto.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
taramoves
Tara Rose Morris is a mixed desi new media artist and creative technologist based in Toronto, Canada. She uses emerging technology to imagine alternative documentations, digital embodiment, and collective consciousness. With a background in animation, media studies, and programming, she has created single-channel videos, immersive installations, and browser-based experiences asking audiences to connect more deeply with themselves and with each other. Tara's work has feautured at Miami Art Week, SXSW XR, and Signals VIFF. They are a member of NEW INC.
Pegah Peivandi
Pegah Peivandi (she/they) is an Iranian-Canadian multidisciplinary artist based in Tkaronto/Toronto. With a primary focus on digital illustration, ceramic stoneware and murals, Pegah is enamored with electrifying colors and textures that evoke a sense of surrealism, otherworldliness, and wide eyed wonder. Pegah’s work has been exhibited and highlighted at The Inside Out Queer Film Festival (2024), Soho House Toronto (2024), Northern Contemporary Gallery (2024) and The Drake Hotel (2023). Pegah has worked with organizations such as the City of Toronto, Inside Out Film Festival, CBC Arts, Collective Arts Brewery and more. Pegah will also have a future window installation and exhibition at Xpace Cultural Centre in May 2025. Pegah obtained their BA from Toronto Metropolitan University in Media Production in 2021.
Dan Tapper
Dan Tapper is an artist and creative technologist interested in the intersection between information and experience. His work focuses on the unseen and unheard, using radio and imaging technologies to capture the sounds of the earth’s ionosphere, map supernovas, and capture microscopic worlds. By utilizing elements of conceptual art and science in his work, Tapper draws attention to the unperceived wonders that surround us and the poetry that can be found in data.
ABOUT THE CURATOR
Evangeline Y Brooks
Evangeline Y Brooks is a postcyber artist interested in how we coexist with computers, working to maintain sustainable, accessible, and DIY artist communities against cultures of immediacy. Her practice engages with digital imagery bridging IRL, passing data back and forth over mediums and celebrating lost information. She is the Programming Manager at InterAccess and co-hosts the A/V showcase ponyHAUS.
