Join Zhao Ziwei as he follows his workflow of his animated video piece, The Grand Hotel of Netherworld S1. This presentation delves into integrating physical simulations within the realm of mixed reality 3D animation, highlighting the dynamic interplay of realistic cloth simulation, water behaviour, and smoke effects designed to enhance immersive storytelling and user experience. The project vividly replicates real-world physical phenomena by leveraging advanced algorithms and rendering techniques, enabling more lifelike and interactive animations. By advancing visual fidelity and bridging the gap between virtual and tangible realities, Zhao’s work offers insights into the future of 3D content creation for mixed reality platforms. The event will open with a screening of The Grand Hotel of Netherworld S1, followed by an artist talk covering the technical aspects of the work.
