Turn Anything Into An Interactive Controller: MaKey MaKey Workshop with Pearl Chen
Have you ever wanted to take one of your projects beyond a mouse and keyboard? With the MaKey MaKey, it’s easy to augment any existing desktop software or web app with real world objects to create new user experiences.
Join in on this 3-hour, hands-on workshop to explore what you can do with physical computing. Use a real banana to enhance a banana throwing game. Use real water to enhance a swimming tutorial app. Use tilt sensors to add physical exercising to any software program. Wherever your imagination takes you.
Things to bring to the workshop:
-
a laptop
-
an existing web app, software, or game that uses keyboard as its main source of user input. (Mouse input works too but if you’re new to MaKey MaKey, start with the keyboard and work your way to mouse as you get more comfortable)
-
an idea around how you can enhance the experience using physical objects
