STYLY x Big on Bloor: AR Workshop – From Basics to Creating to Exhibition!
In-Person Workshop - Register Here!
Augmented Reality (AR) is technology that enables the integration of digital media within a physical, real-world environment. Want to learn how to create immersive augmented reality art and get a chance to show your work to a wide audience? Do you have artwork in other media (3D models, images, sound, video, etc.) that you want to integrate into an AR experience, but have no coding skills?
STYLY is a cloud-based, free XR platform that enables artists with no coding experience to create, publish and share immersive VR and AR experiences. In this free, beginner-friendly AR workshop presented by Toronto media artist and educator David Han, learn how to use STYLY to build and publish a simple AR scene that can be experienced on Android and iOS devices, as well as head-mounted displays (Meta Quest, Microsoft Hololens, etc.) that support AR experiences. This workshop is a perfect introduction to the world of AR development with limitless potential. No coding skills required!
Over two days, workshop participants will learn how to create an AR experience that will then be featured at the Vector and Big On Bloor festival!
