Summer Sampler Series: Arduino Quick Class

Quick, Cheap, Fun, and Really, Really Useful.

InterAccess' Summer Sampler workshops are 2-hour mini classes intended for artists and creatives with little or no experience in electronics, microcontrollers, or coding. At just $10 a pop, both of our Summer Sampler Sessions are intended to introduce you to the interactive media tools you need to tackle that ambitious summer project you've been dreaming of.

In the Arduino Quick Class, we'll introduce students to the most common tool used today to create physical, interactive projects. If you've seen a piece of interactive, robotic, or electronic art recently that made you say "How'd they do that?" there's a pretty good chance that the answer is: "Arduino."

From Arduino.cc:

Arduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on
flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It's intended for artists,
designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects
or environments.

In two hours, we'll give you a quick introduction to the hardware and software environment, and you'll create your first project with sensor input and LED output!

Bring a laptop computer if you can, with the free Arduino software (from arduino.cc) installed. If you can't bring a laptop, no problem! Just let us know and we'll fix you up with a loaner.

Please note: We are unable to accommodate cancellations or refunds less than 1 week prior to a workshop or event.
