Building Soft Circuits & Sensors
In this introductory workshop on wearable technology, Lee Jones will teach the basics of sewing with conductive thread, how to build a circuit, and the tools and techniques you can use to start building interactive projects with soft sensors! You will also learn how to make soft sensors with conductive thread that can detect touch, stretch, and movement.

What, if any, prerequisite knowledge should students have? No prior knowledge of electronics or sewing is required for this workshop.
About the instructor: Lee Jones is a digital artist and design researcher doing her PhD in Digital Media at Carleton University. Her research focuses on ambient wearables for health and wellness, and she enjoys combining craft techniques with circuitry. Leejones.ca
